Back To Earth

Kupaga Villas is proud to present ‘Back To Earth’, an exhibition of work by Tobias Ross-Southall. Using time spent in Zanzibar as a starting point, the brush stroke immediacy of Ross-Southall’s canvases are full of human touch. Whilst visiting the Ngorongoro Crater, he acquired some soil from a local Maasai and turned it into a pigment to paint with. Also on display was a short film documenting a day in the life of the famous Jaws Corner in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Where people come to meet, have coffee and conversation. Created for @circa.art responding to the theme ‘Communion’.
